Founder, AW Healing Arts
Compassionate Inquiry Counsellor.
I work with people to restore their personal power.
My own series of injuries piqued my curiosity about the connection between the physical body and the emotional self. My efforts to heal my physical body uncovered many unexpected implicit memories and emotions. So, I created a practise where I weave together scientific research, case histories, energy healing techniques and physical movement to help clients understand their emotional, spiritual and physical selves. This exploration leads to deep learning, growth and expansion of the big picture possibilities. My mission is to serve my clients so that they can embrace their personal power and find a path to conscious evolution.
After suffering a critical injury, I slowly began a quest to understand the connection between physical trauma and emotional response. My journey started with Yoga Nidra and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). When I was ready to rehabilitate my injuries, I diligently practiced Pilates on the reformer and QiGong in a chair. As my healing progressed, Reiki found a permanent home in my heart.
Soon I found myself travelling through North America, South America and Europe to study healing modalities including Shamanism (Foundation for Shamanic Studies, First Nations elders), Reiki (Usui Reiki, Shamanic Reiki, Holy Fire Reiki, Karuna Reiki), Compassionate Inquiry ( Dr Gabor Maté), BodyTalk (Access, MindScape, Conscious Living Investigation), Tantra and Qi Gong.
Now, I am proudly a lifelong student of energy healing. I rely on techniques from Core Shamanism and Reiki to reduce stress, promote relaxation and initiate a sense of wellness in my clients. I recently combined Compassionate Inquiry with my approach to help clients understand their emotional experience in the world.
The Road Less Travelled
This Shamanic path is the road less travelled. I work with those individuals who wish to understand their heart’s desires, to listen to their souls, and to find a sense of love & belonging in this world.
I am a devotee to the cycles of nature, sound alchemy, Yoga, Qigong, and creatures great and small.
